Hui Chin LIM graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Campbell University, USA; and Advanced Diploma in Science (Chemistry & Biology) from the Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TARC). In year 2017, she accomplished a research on the quality management practices implemented by the food manufacturers in Malaysia and obtained the Master of Science in Technology Management from the University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM).

Her master study stipulated that the effect of quality management system on the operational performance and market performance of the food manufacturing industry can only be reflected with moderate to high extent of implementation. Large companies usually having higher engagement in the quality management system, experiencing significant influence in the company performance. In contrast, SMEs frequently facing limitation in terms of their company resources, implementing the system in a lower degree.

In year 2021, there are total 1,226,494 SMEs, representing 97.4% of the total business establishments in Malaysia. Comparing with the ISO survey conducted in the same year, only 11,610 companies from the total 1,077,884 ISO 9001 certified company are from Malaysia. The findings shifted her focus to guide the company, particularly the SMEs to establish or upgrade their existing system for certification and better execution.

Over the years, she had been working with the food industry and healthcare industry for several food safety and quality management system; and the construction materials industry for quality management systems.
